· Singeing is the first step of pre-treatment. The process by which loose, hairy, and projecting fibers are removed is called Singeing. Desizing Desizing is the second step of pre-treatment. Through this process, gummy materials are removed. Also, size materials are removed by this process. Scouring Scouring is the third step of pre-treatment.
· Basically, the dyeing process is all about absorption and diffusion. Absorption is transferring of dyes from the aqueous solution onto the fabric surface and diffusion is dyes getting diffused into the fibers. Of course, the temperature and other controlling factors play a major role. This dyeing can be either done by hand or machine.
· Yarn dyeing is carried out by either one of the following three dyeing methods: 1) Skein dyeing, 2) Package dyeing and 3) Space dyeing. Among these, package dyeing is the most common yarn dyeing process. Skein dyeing is performed by suspending skeins of yarn in an agitated dye bath with possible additional movement of the skeins during dyeing.
Waterless Technologies for Sustainable Dyeing. The dyeing process of textiles varies depending on the type of fabric. Cotton dyeing is a longer and more water and heat-intensive process, due to the negative surface of cotton fibers. This means that usually cotton only takes up about 75% of the dye that is used. In order to make sure color holds ...

Crease inhibitors improve the running properties of woven and knitted fabric when dyed in ropes. Through the better gliding and displacement of the goods during washing, bleaching, and dyeing, the PERILAN crease preventing agents inhibit abrasion and chafe marks. PERISTAL – Buffers, pH Regulators, Acid and Alkalis Donors
Prevents the formation of creases in pretreatment or in the dyeing bath; Applicable in a wide temperature range; Gives synthetic materials an antistatic effect and improves the handle …
Crocking. Crocking defect occurs in the fabric when the color of the dyed fabric rubs off onto other fabrics easily. The causes for this type of defect can be as follows -. The scouring done at the end of the dyeing process was not done properly. There was insufficient penetration of the dye in the fabric.
· Citric acid is found to be one of the most effective cross-linking agents for crease resistant finish. High concentration of citric acid and Trisodiumcitrate shows excellent crease resistance, where whiteness index became reduced at higher concentration of citric acid. The optimum curing temperature of 160°C gives best crease recovery angle.

· Crease proneness of single jersey fabric depends on its GSM. Normally crease proneness increases proportionally with increase GSM up to 200 GSM fabrics. But interestingly it decreases on further increment of GSM from 200 GSM fabrics. Single jerseys of 190-200 GSM is highly crease prone.
Textile dyeing auxiliaries are essential to enhance the value-added and upgrading of textiles, they can also make the textile more contemporary, functional, and high-grade. To some extend, dyeing auxiliaries quality affects directly the fabric quality. HT Fine Chemical thinks that the color difference of reactive dyes of cotton knitted fabrics ...

This pretreatment makes the dyeing process faster, reduces 90% of water usage, 75% less energy and 90% less chemicals that would otherwise be needed for effective dyeing of cotton. Dyeing synthetic fibers, such as polyester, is a shorter process and 99% or more dye fixation (99% of the dye that is applied is taken up by the fabric).

Due to processing in rope form, it may cause creases so utilizing anti-crease agent (dye bath lubricant) is effective for its prevention. The fabric stays in the chemical bath rather long with less tension so the fabric hand feel is soft. Recommended recipe for Cotton: Reactive dyes x%o.w.f. Glauber's salt ( anhydride) 20~80g/L Soda ash 5~25g/L
